The Temporary Factory (DTF) – Making Construction More Efficient
At Ramirent, we want to make the construction industry more efficient! The Temporary Factory includes everything that won't remain on the construction site once the project is complete – scaffolding, modules, hoists and much more. To make the job as smooth as possible, there's also a dedicated organisation that manages the project on site and ensures everyone working on the construction site can focus on doing their job as well as possible. A bit like the oil in the machinery, or the equipment manager on a sports team.
The idea behind Ramirent's Temporary Factory is to deliver everything temporary related to the upcoming construction project as a single contract/service – that is, everything from site setups and temporary facilities to logistics planning and logistics execution.
Our experience shows that this leads to lower site overhead costs as well as safer and more efficient construction projects.

1. Sustainability
The construction and property sector accounts for nearly 20 percent of carbon emissions in Sweden. We want to reduce this by taking responsibility for our planet's resources together with our customers. A well-planned workplace can reduce the number of transports, which brings both sustainability benefits and increased safety on site. 2. Logistics
Logistics is the key to making things flow smoothly – simply put, the right materials and resources at the right time. By optimising all logistics flows, we increase efficiency throughout the entire project. Studies show that a good logistics solution can reduce transports by 80 percent. This also brings important safety gains, as nearly half of all accidents occur during material handling. And besides increasing efficiency on the construction site, better construction logistics is good for the environment. We can help you from the early stages all the way through to execution.

3. Safety
Every construction site is unique, and safety must of course be tailored and adapted accordingly. We create a shared safety culture by incorporating safety thinking, including training and follow-up, already at the design stage. A major societal problem, where the construction industry is unfortunately a significant contributor, is undeclared labour. We have well-established and proven processes to counteract undeclared labour and carry out due diligence checks on all project participants. We also prefer to work digitally to manage access both to different parts of the site and to machinery, in order to create a safe workplace for everyone.
